Gemini5362, thanks for information. I have checked the vornado I have and that one hasn't been recalled yet. Delongi has been disconnected until I can check it out.

I agree: 1500 watts is 1500 watts. Shop for features, size, and safety.

We use two of these Sunbeam ceramics, model SCH4051 (gray, below). Paid about $10 each at Walmart a few years ago. I understand Sunbeam has discontinued, but similar are available under a different name (black, below). (the pictured units are the same size, pics are not to scale) about 7" sq, 9" high

3 settings: fan only, 1 kwatt, 1.5 kwatt; overheat switch; thermo control with auto shutoff. Very effective. We fulltime, and could almost rely totally on these. Soft humming sound from the fan.

I have used both ceramic and hot wire heaters, in fact have both on hand right now.... The ceramics are nice and the price has been reduced to reasonable, I like them.

But with reasonable care there is not that great an adavnatge.

Save for one I had years ago.. Misplaced or lost it, Wish I could get another like it.

This one the element had a means of limiting how hot it got (I fully know how) and the fan was controlled by a bridge system that adjusted the fan speed based on the room temp, warmer the room, slower the fan,, Liked that unit.. alas, Have yet to find another like it.

We use a small oscillating ceramic heater. We leave in on the counter in the front of the 5er and it heats the entire unit including the bedroom. When we first got it I had it in the bedroom but it drove me crazy and the rest of the rig was cold when I got up in the morning. Now the entire rig stays warm with this heater.

Followed link and see that just about every type of electric space heater has been recalled, including Dyson and Vornado models. Gas furnaces probably have problems too. All heaters can be dangerous.

I use a couple of the ceramic cube heaters. Each is on it's own circuit. Have done so for years. I set them on a nonflammable surface and a couple of feet away from any other surface.

I was just reminded of the reason you should be careful of electric heaters in RV's

I run up to 4 in my RV. but two of them are on dedicated circuit outlets (only thing on that breaker) and those outlets are 15/20 amp duplex fed with 12ga wire bent around a screw and properly tightened.

one is fed by the washing machine outlet since I opted for storage space instead.. This is also a 15/20 amp outlet.

One is fed by an additional feed, completely independent of the RV. so does not count.

Before I put in the 2nd HD outlet wife plugged into a standard RV outlet, and the HOT WIRE smell was intense (I have since replaced that outlet) .

What reminded me is a thread in a different forum.. Another RVer had exactly the same problem, only worse.

RV wiring is simply not up to that kind of load long term, I recommend a wiring upgrade if at all possible.
