Electrical Hookup Question

My RV is currently slotted for a 30 amp hookup. The campsite I'm looking to reserve at only offers 15 amp sites. Please forgive my question as I am new to RVing but can I connect to 15 amps and if so would I be limited in what I use? Thanks

I assume you have 1 rooftop A/C. You should be fine with that; but throwing in an electric water-heater might be a stretch.

On 15a you MIGHT be able to run one ac unit with not much else except lights. You would need to run refrigerator and water heater on gas. If you need to run something else like microwave you would need to shut down the ac first.

For reference, the converter uses 2-10A, depending on how many lights are on and how the batt is doing.
A/C can use 10A or maybe 15A, depending on unit.
Refr uses 2.5A.
WH uses about 10-12A.
Micro can use 10-11A as well.

So use carefully. Any high amp draw over a prolonged amount of time can wear out that adapter very quickly, and possibly melt the plastic.
