does full timers since december 31,2013 mean you will be full timers at the end of this year or that you mistyped.
all the previous posts were good advice. I would check two pretty quickly. My allegro bus has a remote panel for the inverter control. You can turn the inverter off at that control and you will not get any voltage at the receptacles. If you have a control check that. If your generator is on. and your inverter is on (mine you do not have to turn inverter off to run generator) and you still do not have power probably a gfi tripped. If shore power and still no power at receptacle then probably gfi tripped. Last scenario I can deliver. My shore power and I believe my generator go through the inverter. The relay to switch between shore power and inverter is in the inverter. I plugged a heater in to a receptacle while on shore power and tripped the circuity in the inverter and had to reset the inverter itself.

110 outlets

I have a 1999 Winnebago Chieftain.
The 110 outlets and the microwave only work when the MH if plugged in to the campground electricity or the generator is running.
We have an Inverter (converts 12 volt to 110 volt) in the cabinet above the shotgun seat. It has only one plug on the back I think it was made so you could run the TV while going down the road. But I use it for my C-pap machine while I sleep if we are not plugged in at a campground. Like when we stay at a Walmart.
Maybe others are different. Hope this helps.
So either your inverter, converting 12v to 119v, is not working or you don't have one on the 110 outlets you want to use going down the road.
Dave with a Winnebago.

If the gernerator is running why does the inverter "need" to be off ?

I don't believe the inverter needs to be off. When the generator is running it is providing 120 V. No need for the inverter to do so also. Power inverter is automatically inactive when generator is powered up.

Sounds like your inverter tripped. Should have reset button under the inverter. Much of your 120 service goes thru the inverter, some such as central vac etc. does not.

After 11 years of our DSDP ownership I haven't found a plugin that isn't usable when the inverter is on except for the one for the Dometic refer but I haven't checked the one for the Splendide either so it might not work.

IF on shore power or on generator power all outlets should work.
IF on inverter power the answer varies from unit to unit, Some they all work, Some only selected, Some just the "TV" outlets work (TV, Radio, Sat Receivers and assoicated stuff)
As to leaving the inverter on.. Again this varies.. On my inverter which is an "In-line" type (Described below) The inverter is always on.. IF I am on Generator or shore power it automatically switches to "Stand by"
Inline:
Shore power--breakers---Inverter--More breakers---Loads
Stand-alone
Inverter---Switch---Breakers and outlets.
Now I have two ways to turn off my Inverter.. One is a "Enable/Disable" switch here in the living space. The other is an ON/OFF on the inverter itself.. IF that one is off no power passes the inverter.
Thus the outlets it feeds are dead.

With generator running do you have any power, such as the AC units? If you do the generator breakers did not trip. Assuming you have checked all your circuit breakers. Look for your GFI outlet (usually in the bathroom) and make sure it is not tripped. GFIs can also go bad.

What is the brand of your inverter? I take it that your service panel breakers are all set? Did you try resetting each one just to be certain that you don't have one tripped that does not look tripped?
