Emission test?

Our Damon daybreak is due for its emission test. Does anybody know a shop that can do this in southern Ontario? I'm not sure why they bother testing motor homes considering how little they are really on the road.

Log on to the Ontario Drive Clean website, go to heavy duty vehicles, go to find a test facility, enter your town and I am sure there will be several local choices for you.

Since we live in CA, we are probably the most anal on passing emissions testing. One thing I learned with my gas chassis under a 35' motorhome: With 30+ feet of exhaust pipe, it takes a while for all the mufflers, cat, and pipes to warm up to operating temp. I failed one test once because of it. So, the next time, the guy told me to drive it on the open road for about 30 min. before he checked it so that everything is warmed up and it was no problem then.

Here in Illinois they just changed the law and MH's are no longer required to be emission tested. That's about the only thing this state has done right.

We just had emission test on our MH was $88. Bought the MH at camping world in New Jersey but it was registered in Pa. There was an annual vehicle safety inspection sticker on the driverside windsheild, I guess they have a full inspection in Pa.
