Engine compartment access

I have a 2007 Country Coach diesel pusher that needs work on the fuel injector. PROBLEM: Carpet glued down in bedroom over access door. What is the best way to cut, or otherwise lift the carpet to do the work, in a manner that I can re-lay the carpet in a reasonably cosmetic way?

The carpet should (notice I said should) be glued to an access plate that can be removed. I haven't seen a CC with the carpet glued down so you can't access the motor. On ours, I had to look really close to see the cut in the carpet.

Carpet was definitely glued down over the access plate. Fortunately, it didn't pass under the threshold to the closet and I was able to cut through the carpet around the access door. Now I have easy access to the top of the engine compartment and it's very easy to disguise the carpet cuts with just a slight brushing of the fibers
