The Phaeton only comes with a rear radiator. The Allure however is much more coach, and in no way compares with a Phaeton.

Think I will scratch the Phaetonfrom consideration. Allure floorplan is more appearling anyway. thanks to all. I would just have to get over the cosmetics of the single wheel tag. Which brings up another question....does single wheel tag provide stability of a dual wheel tag? It is my belief that a tag would relieve some of the felt "top heavy" rocking often felt in a MH, but I could be wrong.

The tag wheel and front wheel should be the same as the inside dually. May look odd but should be the same rims all around. But I may be wrong. There is always a first time for everything.

All MH tags axles have only one wheel/tire per side.
The Dynamax chassis the Allure is on has a "wider" tag axle than most, so the offset of the rims on it are reversed from what we normally see.

If you really look closely all the class a motorhomes including the prevost are single wheel tags. Even commercial buses are the same. I think most people imagine they are dual just by a quick glance. A semi truck as a true dual tag bit I'm not sure they even call it a tag. I thought it was called a tandem but I'm sure someone with better knowledge will chime in. There are some true truck conversions with a true tandem axle.

The difference between tag and tandem is the tag just carries weight. Tandem has two driven axles. A rear end for each axle Some trucks have tags just like our MH's.

Crah, I believe you and LSAce are quite right. It is single wheel per side, I just assumed two. With this Allure, I believe they call that flipped dish. Not sure why since it does have unusual appearance but probably as LSAce suggests, wider axle.
Vito, Phaeton has ISC 8.3L 1050 torque
CAT is C9 9.3L 425hp 1350 torque.
Should I be concerned that transmission is the CAT CX28. Heck I just assumed most used Allison, maybe not with CAT engine. Any flags on the CAT tranny?
Coach also has a residential refrigerater which I am not sure is a plus or not...inverter is a 3000.

Both coaches are okay, both engines are okay...which floor plan does the D/W like best, that's the key question.

I just looked up an image of a CC Allure. Indeed the tag has a convex wheel. All the Tags I've seen on a Monaco or Tiffin had concave tag wheels. Bit of an oddity but no matter.
Worry about engine and coach condition if buying used, not the manufacturer of the engine. Cat, Cummins, Detroit Diesel are all more engine than you'll ever use.
I get about 7.3 mpg pulling a Suburban in the mountains on winter fuel with my 524hp C13. I weigh about 40,000 lbs.

IMO- there is nothing wrong with a rear radiator on a DP. Seems like the all of best selling DP models are rear radiator.
Cummins or Cat makes no difference, just run from any Maxforce.
Buy the floor plan that works best for you.
