We are considering purchasing a new Entegra Insignia and would like to hear from other buyers any info(likes, dislikes, problems, pros or cons, prices paid, dealer experiences, etc.) We are looking at the 40CKFL floorplan. Thanks,AS

Even though Entegra is a subsidiary of Jayco, the Entegra coach line is a resurrection of Travel Supreme. TS's had a fantastic reputation for quality & beautiful designs. You might want to ask in the TS Forum if this new incarnation of TS compares equally to their fine coaches.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

We are the proud owners of a 42RB Entegra Aspire, and love it!
Decided not to deal with the "Rat" race of CrazyDays and bought down the street from OrlandoRV. Great people to do business with. Better price too! We had a 07 Phaethon 40' and did not like the fit & finish of the new Phaethon as much as we liked the Aspire. The rear bathroom height of the 2011 Phaethon is much shorter too, I'm 6'4" and had a hard time with Tiffin's rear interior. Plus, reading the not-so-positive comments of what's going on with Tiffin coaches, 10-12 built a day, bad side-walls, cracked roofs, etc. just lousy quailty control all around did not help either. Entegra has a 2-year factory warranty and builds only about 3-5 coaches a week, Jayco has been family owned business for years. Don't get me wrong, we liked our Phaethon, but the "never ending" little things that always had to be repaired was getting old. Plus, I'm the last guy that wants to just hang around RedBay and beg Bob for free gimmies. I still work for a living, so when I have some free time, we go to the beach or mountains. We felt the Entegra Coaches have, by far, the Best Bang for the Buck. What a great coach.
Worth looking into.

 Rob & Victoria. We're glad you're here.
Thanks for the report on the new Entegra. I snooped around one at The Rally in Louisville last summer. It sure looked nice & if Jayco is keeping the quality that was TS, it will be a good seller & an asset to the Jayco family.

Thanks for the report Rob & Victoria. An Entegra dealer just opened across the street from my office (Dylan's RV in South Jersey) I may have to go & "kick some tires".

check the out the net carrying weight after fuel, water and propane. In the article on the RV in the magazine it was only about 1300 LBS. on the 2 axle, 40 footer.

I just bought a 40' Entegra with 2800# carrying cap. Love it but it it'll take some getting used to the throttle response delay you get with the SBW system. Kind of like sticking your foot into a bucket of mash potatoes. Coming from 8.1 gasser its going to be a big adjustment for me.

What was the first actual year of production for the Entegra line and which models did they produce in that year?

The first I recall seeing were a few 2009 Insignias (but there weren't that many). I think they also had a relaunch of some sort of that same model in 2010 (complete with a new website). Likely this relaunch was sometime during the transition from "Jayco's luxury brand" to "new Entegra line". If anyone has differing info, please correct me there.
Thanks

As I understand it, 2010 is the 1st production run of the Entegras. Entegra replaces Travel Supreme under the the luxury umbrella of Jayco.
SBW is shift by wire, basically an all computerized throttle. There is little to no feel for the throttle to engine activity. I'm hoping to get some adjustment to it from Freightliner on my first visit to them.
Ck out the Travel Supreme forum for more Entgra info

Actually, the Entegra is even better. I've spent a few days at the factory writing a magazine article on them and was very impressed. The new 2012s feature even more improvements. I just saw the prototype 2012 Aspire yesterday and thechanges they made blew me away. Drive one and kick some tires. Then write the check. You won't be disappointed.
