Entrance step cover

I was wondering if anyone has made a cover for there steps. We are going on a long trip and wanted to cover the steps. When I was shopping for my RV I saw some but can't remeber how they were made.

Interested in the same info. Just purchased a 2001 Safari Panther and the step cover is missing. I was going to make out of 3/4 inch oak plywood, but am interested in what others have done, or where one can buy one.

Are you talking about the interior or exterior steps?

I am wanting to cover the hole where the steps are. I don't want anyone stepping into them when they walk to the sink , or back to ther seat. I saw some made out of wood with a metal plate to hold the wood and it was flush with the floor. They had some that were coverd with carpet and some in vinyl. I hope this will help with my question. Thanks
