Entre door on Monaco Diplomat

Iam having problems openning the door on my Monaco. I have to knock the door At the bottom with my knee to open with handle. A mechanic told me to change the hinge at the top of the door. Didn't work. I did notice the hinges do
have a adjustable screw holes but not sure if thats the problem.

Not sure I'm following. Is the door dragging at the bottom? On the side?

Be careful trying to adjust the door! I have an air leak at the top part of the door and was going to adjust it. I noticed the slots to allow the hinge to move and decided to get it done. Wrong! The screws holding the hinge must have been early imports and were soft. The heads just twisted off with only a hand held nut driver. I immediately stopped and that's where we stand at this time. Don't have the time and the repair place says the door will have to be removed and all the old screws taken out at a cost of ~$500. Oh well, Just some more fun when I have time. Good luck and safe travels!

For magoo, left hand drills will twist em right out...

My door is kinda screwed up too....

I fixed the prop on the top....
And then one day the wind yanked the door outa my hand and slammed it open...

I tried to adjust the strikers, but so far have not made it happy.

I did rebuild the "holder opener thingy" again, so far so good there...

Gonna try the strikers again...
Seems the top one is latching but the bottom ain't.
Still possible the whole door is tweeked a bit...

If I remember right , there is two latches on my door. If yours is the same maybe the bottom one is hanging up on the striker.

I don't know if you fix your problem or not, but here it goes. I had the same problem with my Monaco door.

You need to remove the white panel on the inside side of the door. It's really easy. You need to remove the black metal trim along the edges of the door. You will have to grind the 2 rivets heads at the top and remove the screws.. You then need to remove all the screws around the window on the inside. Then remove the screws that hold the handles and don't forget the door lock.

You should then be able to slide out the white panel. Once the panel is removed you will be able to see the adjustable links. There is two sets. One for the upper latch and one for the lower.

Play with them until you're satisfied with the operation.

Believe me it will make a difference. Before I needed my two hands to open the door because I had to push the door and pull the handle at the same time. Now I only need two fingers of one hand. What a change!

Hope this helps.
