Entry step

My power step stopped working and while checking it out with a 12 volt tester after I clipped the teamster on the step I would get shocked ! Any ideas if it maybe a ground.

Methinks you may have a "hot skin condition" unrelated to the power step problem.
See:
Or Google "RV hot skin".

Sounds like a ground. I would unplug wire harness and check wiring as far as you can follow.
Hope you find a loose connection or corroded connection.
Good luck.

I think the op meant test meter not teamster? Only thing that makes sense to me. I agree it could be a bad ground.

Quick Test to prove ground fault, just find a clean metal spot on chassis and run your own ground wire to see if it solves problem.
