My cats have started the generator from the inside panel…..at O dark thirty. They have also sounded the Air Horns.

I have a big battery twist switch right over my radiator. So disconnecting the batteries is easy.

You'll need to check it the batteries are charging when the switch is off. Have you put a light on the generator switch to see if it had paw prints? Everyone seems to be trying to rewire things or create work each time you park it while if it's a varmint, a switch shield will prevent it for all time.

I agree 100%. Seems like folks want to re-engineer instead of looking for the cause in the first place and deal with it.

You people who have had a cat start your generator must have a unit that starts a lot faster than mine. My Onan takes a good five to ten seconds to start. By that time, hearing the starter, most self-respecting felines are long gone.

Yep, starts right away. The cats just sit there and wonder what the noise is.
