Equalizer leveling system

My leveling system will begin operating, but usually will stop in mid operation and indicate "low voltage". The current solution has been to start the engine and run it for a few minutes, then shut off engine and try to restart the jacks. Does anyone out there have experience with this system, and perhaps a solution to my problem?

It's either bad batteries, battery cables or the connections.

Are you trying to level with the engine off? Levelers draw a lot of current'.

Give Equalizer Systems a call. I've found that their tech support dept is very knowledgeable & helpful. There is a very remote chance that the batteries & cables are fine and that the motor for the pump has high current draw issues.

It's a 2014, so batteries and cables are new. Also, system will not operate with motor running. Does the system operate solely off chassis batteries, or could I boost with coach batteries? I leave the inverter on even when on shore power, so batteries shouldn't be drained.

Since everything is new, it's most likely a bad connection. A bad motor usually has high startup current draw, not after it's been running.

Like noted, check the electrical connections, especially the ground.

I have an Equalizer and it works fine.

Low voltage is just what it says. Since its a 2014, your dealer needs to figure out why the motor controller is seeing low voltage. A bad connection or partially broken power wire would do it. Or a bad chassis battery (even though its a 2014).

I think you might ought to be leveling with the engine running. As someone said, the pump motors pulls a lot of power. If I am not plugged into shore power when putting out slides, I at least start the generator. I might be a bit paranoid about ruining a motor with high demand and low power supply

I have the equalizer system and have had the low voltage indicator light up a couple of times. For me it occurs when the coach has been setting in storage for several weeks and the coach batteries are down to about 1/2 charge or less. When we load up for a trip I level and put out the slides to make loading easier.

When I've had the issue I just start the generator and let it run and charge the coach batteries and then no issues. I've never had the low voltage indicator come on after arriving at my destination and leveling.

2014....take it right back to the shop.....I have had issues - but you don't need answers as your dealer needs to take care of it.

For those that reply to level with motor running. It wont. My equalizer systems system will only operate with ignition off. Its a "safety" feature I presume. I know other systems are different.

Back to OP - This is an issue for dealer to resolve, not you.

To start with,I would be on the phone with the folks you purchased your coach from.
