Essex Credit?

Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with Financing or Refinancing with Essex Credit ?

Essex is one of the bigger RV financing companies. GS was using Essex (don't know if they still do). The last I knew Essex rate was higher than GS, so either they give a better rate through GS or GS has switched to someone else. I recently saw an add for GS that shows a rate of 3.99% for 75K or more. Of course this depends on credit rating, etc.

Well it's been many years, but I financed a boat with them. The process couldn't have gone any easier. I was approved in 24 hours, and the app was a one page document that they faxed me. Don't know if it's still the same (good) company these days or not.

BUT, if you are a member of Costco, they have an RV financing/refinancing plan which should save you money. You can probably get some info from their website, and after comparing competetive rates, it might even be worth you while to join Costco, for the financing.

We used Essex Credit 20 years ago for a boat loan and just used them 2 months ago for a loan on out coach the rate was much much lower than the dealers rate and a simple form and fast turnaround we just love Essex Credit

I had a couple of small problems when I refinanced my coach with them. I had to prompt them a couple times when promised action dates passed with no communication from them, but nothing that I didn't get over. The rate was worth it and have had no problems otherwise.

If you use them, go through Costco, the Costco rate is lower than GS. I refi'ed mine and it was easy. The only issue I had was after I submitted my app it took them over a week to get back to me. Essex is owned by Bank of the West.

When I financed my 07 Endeavor a few months back my local Key Bank beat the Essex rate by over half a point.
