Eternabond install summary

I have started applying Eternabond on the top seams of my motorhome.
I have completed the long sides. I have read that some people have said that it is easy and takes just about 3 hours to apply. Wrong. I don't know how. The Eternabond itself was easy to apply. It is the prep work of cleaning that takes so long. On just the 2 top side seams, I have put in about 7 hours and have top end seams to do yet. I used the Iternabond cleaner and rubbed and rubbed to get the old caulking cleaned. Before applying Eternabond I used blue masking tape in order to keep a straight line. Because of the location of the refrigerator vent and the skylight, I removed the caulking from one side, before applying. Because of bending over and using my knees and up and down, today I can't hardly walk. I guess I am getting too old for this kind of work. So today is a rest day. Tomorrow I will tackle the ends. I will need to do the skylight and other pretrutions at a later date.

Question: My MH, along the top ends and top sides where the rubber meets the aluminum side flashing, the is a 1/2" metal strip where there is about 200 screws holding it in place. When I lay the Eternabond on top of the screws, it is tenting on top of the screws. In reading the instructions, it talks about using a pin to puncture to remove tenting. This does not seem practical. Should I just push down around the screws, the best that I can and leave it?

No fun. But hopefully, the seams will never leak. Which it has never leaked yet to this point. After completion, I will never have to apply caulking on the seams.

I left the "tenting" as it was. It lasted almost 7 years for me before the some screw heads started to poke thru. Of course, you cannot ever step on the screw heads or the screw heads will immediately cut thru. Since I'm the only one who goes on my roof, this has been no problem.
