Could you be more specific? What engine do you have? What issues with the engine brake?

I might be able to help with more info: Engine model, Horsepower and symptoms. Is it an exhaust brake or multi-stage compression brake? Go into your User CP and fill out your signature. That would be a big help.

Just to clarify...

The 2013 40' and 36' ISC powered Phaetons were equipped with the single position "exhaust" brake. Only the 42' Phaeton with the ISL had the two position compression brake.

So I assume, the OP is talking about either a 36' or 40' Phaeton with the ISC engine.

And no, I haven't heard of anyone having problems with them.

Yes, mine is a 380 hp ISC with a single stage exhaust brake. When braking a light comes on the instrument panel and starts flushing.

I have a light that comes on when the exhaust brake is engaged. That is normal. Flashing? I've never had that happen. It could be a trouble code. Is it manufactured by PAC brake or Jacobs? I had mine stick closed a couple of times. Boy you go nowhere when that happens. Determined it was the solenoid that was sticking and not releasing the air from the salve cylinder. I don't remember if the dash indicator light was flashing when that happened. I replaced the electric solenoid air valve and have had no problems since.
I have the 350 ISL engine.

If you have the VGT brake on a Cummins engine, I had the same symptoms on my ISB- XT and it was a precursor to the Turbo failing. I have a ScanGauge D and it recorded a Turbo actuator code which upon investigation by Cummins, resulted in Turbo replacement. The CEL would flash momentarily occasionally when the brake was activated but was never recorded in the LBCU. Not sure if you have the VGT brake but if you do, I would get Cummins to investigate.
