Very happy with Cornerstone. Too much risk not to buy the EW and I'm a former car dealer.

Well, we follow Consumer Reports advice NOT to buy them. We're thousands of $$ better off by doing that.

I struggled with the ESP decision when we bought this coach. We also set aside money for a repair fund. However, the dealer offered what I considered a good price for a low-deductible plan from Cornerstone on the house, not the chassis. Since this is a pretty complicated beast and was 6 years old when we got it, we got the plan. We are less than 2 years into it and it has already paid out my total premium. Plus, the company has never balked on any repair. So, at least for us this time, it was a good decision.

IMHO, Consumer Reports advice to NOT buy service plans (a.k.a. "extended warranties") pertains to products with relatively low repair and/or replacement costs. Buy a service plan on a toaster or microwave...definitely not; on a car...probably not; on a motor home...I did. A single repair bill can easily exceed the cost for the service plan. I'm anxiously awaiting word from the repair shop on the cost for fixing my Schwintek slide.

I wouldn't buy a EW on disposable items either. You have to look at the risk. Why buy health insurance or collision on your car? Why buy a term life ins policy while raising a family? As an insurance agent, I can say that many people are either over or under insured.
