My RV dealer sold me a $4500 4/48 Phoenix American, RV Elite policy. I later found out on irv2 that I could have dealt with them for lower price. They covered a blown Ford V10 engine, weak fuel pump (cause of the blown engine), new fuel filter, dash AC compressor and speedometer console for the tune of >$10K. They were a little slow, but covered everything but my $200 deductible. A search for "Extended Warranty" will turn up a lot of threads.

I bought a service contract from Wholesale Warranties. Have had two claims, no problems. Very pleased.

To each his own, search the web for RV extended warranties. I had a GS/CW one on the 2003 Itaska I had purchased. I never had a claim, great coach. Just make sure you get something that will cover the engine and drive train. Most of the other things you will end up paying for your self due to your deductible.

Extended warranty
Just received a quote from Good Sam on my 2001 Bounder and price and coverage seemed ok, but i am concerned about the statement in small print, (except normal wear and tear). Since it is not new there is the normal wear and tear on everything the entire unit. Seems like a good out for not paying claims.

I also purchased one from Wholesale Warranties. This is the second one I have bought from them. From the first, I got back more than I paid, so I'm happy with that. I have already filed a couple of claims on the new one and didn't have any problem. The one I currently have is the same policy that was offered by the dealer for $2000 more than I paid for it.

Don't buy Allegiance/CSI care. They are horrible. Two claims. Both a pain. Rig has been in the shop for 90 days now. However, go through Wholesale Warranties. They have been by my side the whole time ! They no longer sell Allegiance yet they are still an advocate for me.

I too have a policy thru Wholesale Warranties, with ProTek as the carrier. Have used them 2 times last year with no issues.

Don't buy this warranty
I have several issues with my current warranty company insured by American Guardian Warranty.
They don’t cover motors in awnings and my high end coach has those. I had to pay 1500 to get the door awning replaced because they don’t cover motors. The slide out awning is motorized and I can’t imagine how much that would cost to replace.
They pay an “industry standard” labor rate at 100 which only covers a portion of the costs in our area. They told me they paid whatever the labor cost was when I asked them before I had any repairs done.
They do not disclose how many hours of labor they will pay for until the claim is submitted. The number of hours which they claim is an industry standard is low and when I explained the specific installation of my failed item and the difficulty of repair, they stated that my facility might use a different standard which is off topic.
They don’t contact you if they need additional information. They also delay payment. I’ve had to submit the claim three times and each time more information is provided.
The adjuster is not available when I call and neither he or his supervisor return calls.

Extended Warranty is when they extend their hands into your wallet and give nothing in return.

I bought a Good Sam warranty when I bought my coach at Camping World. I bought the 4 year/48,000 mile version. Since my purchase last August, I have filed claims on three occasions. In each instance, they paid everything directly to the maintenance shop except for my deductible. I have heard bad stories about them, but I m happy with mine.
