I just re-newed our extended warranty, Star thru
Interstate National. This will be the 2nd time I have re-newed with them I have not had a problem with them paying and I have used them many times for repairs. I compared them with several other companies, even Good Sam and they were best pricing. On the Diamond plan they even cover slides & gaskets & seals. Several companies I called would not cover in California. You do have to find an RV dealer that sells Star, I used Pan Pacific RV in French Camp, CA everything was handled over the phone with a creditcard. I have used Star since 2006 when we first bought our RV.

Wholesale-Warranties is an Extended Warranty broker who acts as an agent for you working with many repair facilities throughout the U.S and Canada. I am looking for feedback from anyone who purchased an Extended Warranty plan through them. How has any repair work gone, ease of use/contact, etc...

ahh, thanks for clarifying. Fortunately(?) have not had to file a claim through our underwriter yet.

Happy trails.

We bought a policy through them about 1-1/2 years ago. We have filed about 3 claims and they paid with no hassle or problems. I will consider them when renewal time is due

Good Luck

Cost???

Interesting to see who buys what here.
What are you paying and for how much coverage?
Anyone have experience with CampersEdge ( subsidiary of WarranTech)
Thanks for the input and keep it coming!!

We used Wholesale Warranties. Ours is ProTrek policy. Very easy and no hassle. Repair tech calls them with estimate for repair or replacement. They authorize quickly unless it is something big like an engine for example. In that case they send someone out to check it out. Never had to do that thank heavens. We have the diamond coverage for 4 years or 48,000 miles on a 2009 Phaeton 40' and the cost was $4200. Had it since Dec 2014 and already recovered half the cost and fixing to replace 2ac's. Well worth the peace of mind.

To add to the discussion, has anyone signed up for the Good Sam program and how is that going? Good Sam does not call their program an Extended Warranty program they refer to it as Break/Fix Insurance. Two major differences that I have seen; Good Sam states that they will pay even for part replacement based on wear & tear where the standard Warranty programs use an "industry standard" timeframe for "wear & tear" and will not cover after that timeframe. Also Good Sam is VERY EXPENSIVE in comparison.
Any feedback on the Good Sam program would be greatly appreciated.

Did a lot of quotes for our 2002 motorhome landed with goodsams they were slightly higher than another quote but honestly to save 300 per year in coverage i liked goodsams service over the years on other things from parks to road service. Just thought a little savings was not worth the learning a new company.

So we just bought the goodsams program just yesterday after comparing for a few weeks.

I chose the high deductible option i would never file a claim for something small. I would recommend comparing different amounts with deductibles i do not remember exactly but there was a point where the premium dropped dramatically. I also liked the fact that we are locked in for 3 years at the same rate per year.

that is our opinion

We did the exact same thing, got a high deductible just in case we really had a major expense, I like the fact you can renew yearly! Regards

That's because, legally, it isn't a warranty. Only the original vehicle manufacturer can sell an extended warranty. Anything else is a "service contract" and you have far less legal backing with a contract. At least they're being honest about it.
