F 53 2014 pursuit accessory hookup

I want to hook up an accessory on the dash. In the maze of wires under the dash how do i find one to power 5 amps. If I had a drivers door it would be very easy to view the under dash wires.

The easiest place to pull 12volts from behind the dash is from the cigar lighter (now called a power port).

Lay on the floor under the dash to access underneath

Best luck

I added an extra power outlet (cigarette lighter type) to our dash. Used a Socket Ream 12 Volt Lighter Plug Outlet Mounting Hole Bore Drill 1-1/8" (got this at Amazon) after I drilled a small pilot hole. I then used Mini Fuse Circuit Tap (got mine at an Autozone). Whole thing didn't take 20 minutes and cost about $10. If you need the socket, got those on Amazon as well.

I agree. I used a couple of them as a temporary repair when a wire to the tow vehicle tail and brake light fuse broke. Just take out a fuse, replace it with this unit and add whatever accessory you want. I found them at our local NAPA parts store for about the same price.

My 2016 Winnebego is pre-wired for a CB radio. The wires are under the dash to the left. I would imagine that your F53 has a similar harness.
You might want to check your manuals to see if one is "hanging around"
