F 53 Kingpins

How can you tell if the kingpins on a F53 is bad? If they are bad how much should it cost to get them replaced?

Take the weight off of the front tires by jacking under the axle. With one hand on the top and the other on the bottom of the tire, push/pull to check for any play.

When I bought my 2002 Itasca F53 it had bad Kingpins so it was the first thing I had replaced here in Tucson. I also had the wheel bearings cleaned and repacked at the same time. The total price was $968. Bill
