Factory installed inverter

When we did the walk-through at the dealer we learned the fridge was on an inverter. Its a smallish dorm style 120v fridge/freezer (Danby).
Now that I'm through with getting it road ready, i decided to find where the inverter lives since its not anywhere to be found.
After following the wires for the remote on/off I was very surprised to find it mounted on the slide floor behind the kitchen sink cabinet, which is nearly impossible to access. I was also pleasently suprised to see it is a Go Power 1000 watt sine wave unit just for the small fridge. I was planning on buying a similar inverter for the electronics, but now I am thinking I would be better served by relocating it to a more reasonable location and use it for the fridge and electronics (1 lcd tv, phone, laptop charging and printer) when not on shore power.
Any advise on how to run a 120v wire to power the fridge? Would a heavy duty extention cord tolerate the slide moving in and out? Or would it make more sense to just add a second inverter?
Thanks

Before you decide to use the current inverter for both the refrig and electronics make sure that the 1000 watts is sufficient. Also remember that for any electronic device there is a surge wattage and an operating wattage. The surge wattage is always higher than the operating wattage. Any inverter needs to be able to handle the surge wattage.
