Food for thought - we had an intermittent problem where the lid would sometimes open and then maybe the fan would start or not.
It turned out to be a loose connection under the inside cover where the spade ended power wire attaches to the top of the replaceable barrel fuse holder. All fixed from the inside by removing crank then cover then simply crimping the female blade portion of the connector and reinstalling. Seems the loose connection would sometimes run the lid and then arc out when the motor tried to kick in.
Has worked since.

The plunger switch can corrode and cause the fan to open but not run. Usually all it needs is to be tightened slightly. I think it's a 9/16" wrench but it's been several years since I had to do mine.

I've been trying to troubleshoot my fan but without success. At first the vent would open when I turned the fan on using the thermostat, but the fan would work one time but not the next. Now using the thermostat has no affect on the fan at all; no vent opening or fan operation. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I cannot find the number, but it went through Atwood customer service and then there was specific # for Fantastic fans. I tried to leave a message too, but just keep calling......once you get someone they do help you.

Good luck!
