Best to buy original fantastic vent covers. Very easy to install and you dont need tools to remove for cleaning, just pull 4 pins.

I installed MaxxAirs over both my Fantastic fans. When I recently had to replace a Fantastic fan, I left the MaxxAir off and discovered sunlight again.

I'm only going to leave one of my two Fantastic fans covered.

Considerably taller than my Penquin roof air conditioners but lower than my top of my KingDome sat antenna.

The sky light above our shower lets in so much sunlight we have to close the rear bath door to have any hope of sleeping late in the morning. First morning in rig - Annie elbowed me and said - "turn off that light". If you could harness that light and direct it into the sky at night you could open an airport. So we put a black Fantastic cover over that fan. We also have the same cover over the one in the kitchen / living area. Plenty of window light there. We did not put one over the fan in the 1/2 bath to allow sunlight in there. Our satellite dome and A/C covers are black so we kept to the theme. Also - the "new" Fantastic Vent covers are designed to allow for greater opening of vent than other and previous models. Two

I had the regular MaxxAir covers on my vents. I replaced them with the Fan-tastic Ultrabreeze covers to increase the air flow and they do move a lot more air. The problem is, if the rain is coming from the louver side, it will come into the RV. The louvers do not angle down like the MaxxAir II and MaxxAir covers do.

If I had it to do over, I would go with the MaxxAir Fan/Mate rain covers.
