Ferry transit to Vancouer Island BC

In considering the transit from Anacortes WA to Sidney BC (and back), is the transition from the paved approaches to the ferry ramp reasonably flat? Some of us have fair overhangs in the rear and can bottom out if not careful going up and over steeper driveways, etc. Of course the tides will have some effect in this issue also. Anyone have experience with this particular crossing?

No problem we just did it a week ago with a 40' MH towing a toad, I have done the trip to the island using all 3 of the ferry companies and this was the easiest and the most level

Wow, thanks for the quick replies. DW and I are considering making that trip sometime soon as we have always enjoyed the island when we were boating in the area before our RV life. It can get rainy sometime, but what the hey, I'm from Oregon.

We get off the Island using WSF from Sidney to Anacortes twice a year. High tide or low tide, we haven't had a problem loading/unloading our 37' 5er. If your coming to the Island think about living forest CG in Nanaimo and Salmon Point in Campbell River. Have a great trip.

The newer ferry ramps are quite adjustable. I have to regularly take a ferry that uses an old ramp. Less than 3ft tide, I'm probably dragging.
