Fill HWH Reservoir w/ jacks up or down ?

I'm thinking up but wanted to confirm before overfilling the holding tank.
Spartain said use dextron 3 or better but I forgot to ask on the position.
Thanks in advance

I suggest you follow the directions in your manual if you have it. The method does vary by coach. While counter intuitive, my manual says jacks up and both driver side slides in but curbside slide out.

If you do not have the manual contact HWH or Newmar. You are probably OK checking with every thing retracted like the others say, but why not check to be sure?

Thanks for the replies. We have electric slides so should be a non issue. Will contact HWH or Spartan to be sure.

Per HWH manual fill with jacks "fully raised".

And check with everything in and up. Did you check with the jacks down? You might not need to fill.

Or you could do what I did and fill them up while the jacks are down and then wonder where all the oil is coming from when you let the jacks up.

Mine is just a bit differnet - manual says jacks up - the two drivers side slides in but passenger slide out.
