Finally a sewer hose storage solution
Up to now, I kept all our “wet gear” in the wet bay. That included anything to do with water. Stuff like: fresh water hoses (multiple lengths), sewer hoses (kept in black plastic bags), wands, bleach spray, distilled water, cleaning brush, extra fittings, gloves and on & on. I want to install a 2 filtration water system in the wet bay so all our CG water goes through that before it comes into the MH, but had no room. And besides that, I didn’t want my sewer hoses in the same bay as my fresh water supplies. Airborne ICK! So, I came up with a solution to get those nasty sewer hoses out, which provided a lot more room for me to spread out & better organize all our fresh water stuff and now we also have room to install our water filtration system. Once we start FT, this will make retrieving and storing these hoses a WHOLE lot easier.
It came out really good. Solid as a rock but yet light weight. Still have excellent access to the under side of the generator for maintenance, but if I ever have to drop the generator for major maintenance or repair these vent pipes can be removed in 5 minutes.
I’ve attached photos with my notes of all the steps I took. Everything I used was bought at Home Depot. Total cost was $32.
I was originally was going to use PVC pipe, but to buy 5" dia. for the hose & fittings to fit, 5" only came in 20' sticks @ $6.75/ft. This was a lot cheaper, lighter and I could paint it black to look better.

I like that idea. Might have to do something like that.

Most gasoline motor homes have a pretty long tail from the rear wheels to the end cap. What is going to happen to your hose device on dips? It is going to rip the ends off or maybe even crush it.
I used to have lots of problems with my 36' gasoline motor home dragging on dips.

Add some drag/skid wheels either your hitch or frame to prevent dragging. You can use something like:
https://www.etrailer.com/search/Rear+Drag+Wheels
or make your own. I used solid steel wheels I bought an agri supply store. I have a driveway entrance that is VERY close to dragging.
And you should drill some holes in the bottom of those tubes, so any remaining water after rinsing your hoses can drain out, and you get some air flow so everything will eventually dry inside. I built a U shaped hose storage on the side of the DEF tank holder, attached with stainless clamps, and it has worked great for couple years.

LMAO! FYI...you really should read a post more thoroughly and look at the photos more closely before you make any further silly comments.

I like it a lot. Going to look at my coach and see if I can find a spot to implement this. Thanks for taking the time to document and post this.

I know you spent a lot of time on this project (nicely done) and documenting it (also nicely done) but looking at your picture 14 I would think that dragging possibilities would be a concern. He was just trying to be helpful (I think). No need to get huffy.

Am I incorrect, that #14 shows the heavy hitch skids on one side and the motor home sidewall on the other. I suppose anything is possible, but with the hitch torn off and the sidewall crushed, the dented hose carrier would hardly be the primary concern.
Thanks for the detailed photos!

WOW! You are thin skinned ain't you. I was not bashing your little project, but I was posting on experience I had with a gasoline coach I used to have. Looking at your project it seems like your hose holders come right up to the edge of the bumper. Skid plates on mine were like five feet from the rear end cap. On the photo you can not tell how far the skid plate is.
But if you do not like somebody to question your work, then maybe you should not post.

On your DS you would be better to add in front of the rear wheels. I used a pre fab tube from CW but you can go with square PVC fence posts with removable caps. Available in various colours. No danger of dragging when mounted in front of the wheels.

Great ideas all. Now all you need to do is add some ventilation/drain holes to those pipes. They don't have to be large but just enough to allow the air to circulate a bit and allow the water to drain out when stored.
Just my advise
