Find The Cheapest Truck Stop - TruckMaster Fuel Finder

This is a very good website to use when traveling. You enter your information i.e., start-St. Louis, MO----destination- Springfield, MO and it will show all truck stops along your route including a satellite view to show you all stations in that area to refuel. It is one of the best that I have found. Safe travel and happy camping!

Being a weekend and summer vacation Rv'er I plan ahead. Have my favorites close to home but for the two summer trip I'll plan my fuel stops using satellite and street view images. Flying J, Love's, Pilot, Marathon close to interstates are usually easy in and out. I try and stay above 1/2 a tank so I anyways of the option to try someplace else if my planned stop is a bust.

Interesting. I just ran a proposed trip Maine to Florida and find prices varying from about $2.00 to $2.80. I'd think it would be worth checking before travel.

In our case, DW uses the GasBuddy app to locate cheap gas stations within convenient stopping range. Then, as was mentioned above, cross references those stations with google for size, and also for most convenient point of entry, if multiple exist.

She worked diligently to save us on fuel costs and streamline our trip.

Hi Irene,
When I had a gas motorhome, I looked for stations that had the pump islands parallel to the building as opposed to those with islands perpendicular to the building. And try for the outside lanes. We don't use Flying J/Pilot/Loves etc because they are only along interstate highways and we like to take the roads less traveled. We have found Hess ( recently became Speedway) stations to usually be RV Friendly.

I prefer small towns with older stations where you pull in parallel to the street, as opposed to the one's where you face the station and all their advertisement. Stations make more on the junk food that you buy inside the station than they do on gas. Which adds to the obesity issue in the US. Go for the gas/fuel, not the calories.

We use the GasBuddy app (querying for diesel fuel) to identify potential stations coming up on our route. We then look at the potential station using the Google Maps satellite view to see if we can fit. Whoever is navigating at the moment handles the necessary research on the iPad.

We usually start thinking about planning the next fuel stop when fuel gauge hits the "1/2" mark - and avoid letting it drop below "1/4" tank like the plague. If we drop below a "1/4" tank of diesel fuel - neither the generator or the Aquahot will run ... and no good ever comes of having both of those items off line.
