I use Mobile 1 5/40 in my B5.9 Cummins boosted to 330HP. Buy it at Walmart. Have oil analized ever 4,000 mile by Blackstone Best Co in the busniss. Report by are person, not computer generated. Will call and e-mail you emediately if they detect a problem.

I also used Rotella dino oil in 15W40. I replace the oil once per year (usually have between 5000 and 7000 miles on the oil) so I cannot justify the extra expense of synthetic. Seems like a waste of money to me.

Most manufacturers recommend every 15000 miles or 1 year, whichever is sooner.

Synthetic oil for cold climates--you are living in the wrong "climate." Forget the type of oil to use and just move south!!!!!!
