Fire Georgie Boy 2008 Class A, Need Lawyer

Does anyone know of a good lawyer, PA/NY, Fire was in PA, unit bought in NY. Our motorhome burnt, lost everything, almost even my life, my cat did die in fire. We were fulltime RV, now homeless. Life savings cash burnt, the unit literally melted into the ground because the fire was so intense. We had the RV unit in the shop about 2 weeks prior to fire and was told unit was ok. Had many issues day we was delivered unit. Only owed unit for 31 days, other problems. Company will do nothing to help us, had extended warranty, won't help either. Please if anyone can help us, please I beg you, not sure how much more I can honestly take over this, it has be so devastating.

What do you expect from the attorney beyond sympathy? Why?

Was the repair shop somehow responsible for the fire? I would think that finding the cause would be the first step. Why in the world would you have your life savings in cash in a wood and fiberglass shack with a toothpick for a deadbolt? Bank wouldn't do?

What about your insurance company, what are they doing for you?

That sucks, sorry for your loss! I guess what I would want to know is who / what do think is responsible for the fire? If you have a good answer for that question than do you think it is proveable in court? I would suspect it would be hard to prove because of lack of evidence, unless you have for an example, a video of kids throwing a Molotov candle.

Unfortunately I can only explain the very basics on here.... I just thought I would see if anyone on here that might know a lawyer that was that was RV knowledgeable.

The insurance company is behind us all the way, but they can not file suit on our behalf.

Wow tough crowd, look I am not asking anyone too FEEL sorry for me in any way. I just thought I would start here being that it was an RV site. Yes there are many reasons there is a garage to be held responsible. Is it so bad that I thought maybe someone just may have had to deal with an issue that someone may have known a lawyer. My agent is checking with their lawyer but I thought in mean time I would try to see what other RV owners might know of a great lawyer.

I feel for you and hope this works out. I would go online and search for lawyers in your area and start calling some of them. Even if they dont work in this area of the law...they may be able to direct you to someone who can help. Good luck.

Sorry for your loss. Have you tried calling the state Bar Association and asking them if any attorney practices in the field you are looking for? They may be able to provide you some names.

I am sorry for your loss. We are glad you are okay and the RV can be replaced. I can not help with a lawyer. This tragedy sheds light on the fact traveling with cash and or important documents one should have at least a fire resistant lock box or fire resistant safe. Well wishes and glad you are okay.

So sad for you and no reason for the snarky comments. I wish I was as perfect as they apparently think they are.

Good luck. I wish we could help, but we just hope nothing like this happens to us.

If you check the internet there will be listings for RV specialist lawyers. Then it is a matter of interviewing and selecting the right one. If you are going to sue getting a lawyer sooner rather than later is better. They will have the knowledge and resources to get the correct forensics done on the coach.
