Firestone air bags

So here’s an interesting piece of information:

I’ve been trying to research airbags for a 2014 22K Ford F 53 chassis. If you go directly to the Firestone website you can spin up the chassis year beyond 2012. So I called Firestone and they informed me that they no longer sell them for motorhomes.

I know I’m finding a lot of websites from spring shops that seem to offer them. One in particular has referred me to a company called Airlift.

Anyone out there with any experience in a newer F 53 chassis where they’ve installed air springs?

Can't speak to the F53 springs, but Airlift bags have worked out fine on two other vehicles that I've owned.

Hummm; my air springs are Firestone, OEM on a Spartan chassis. I may be emailing Spartan customer service this summer with the big question.

Fleet Pride, a group of truck parts stores that are in every state carry a good selection of airbags... Any of their guys should be able to crawl under your unit and grab the information off the existing bags and cross reference them into any of 2 or 3 different brands... I know they do that all the time for the air suspension class 5 and above trucks and trailers... fleetpride.com

OP is referring to the add on support kit for leaf spring chassis.

I have owned both brands and cannot see/tell any difference other than cost. Airlift tends to be a little less. They do same job, have same weight & pressure specs. Only recommendation I have is if getting the Airlift get the "Ultimate 5000" kit, these have internal progressive compression jounce stop so if you do bottom out it is a softer thud than the harsh bang.
