Time for new tires 255 70 22.5 Firestone 560 + are quite a bit less than Michelin for 6.Anyone have expirence with these

Just put 6 new Firestones on and I like them. Have had Michelin and Goodyears in the past and don't like them. Firestone are the same as Bridgestone and had them on the Damon.

I put that model and size Firestone tires on the drive axle of my previous coach, a 2001 Diplomat, and they were fine.

I put 275/70R22.5 Firestone FS560 on our MH last year. For the roads we have up here I like these tires much better so far. One thing that I have noticed is that they tend to 'throw' gravel more then the highway tread we had on before.

I just put on 6 fs560+ on last week...they replaced 10 yr old Bridgestones(which looked almost new). At 100psi on all 6...ride is less harsh over big bumps. Drives fine. Although mine are the 295-75-22.5 version

I have only put 95 or so miles on them so far...another trip coming this weekend though

Firestones all around and they ride and handle just fine. 560's rear and tag, FS 400 steers.

I just had a pair of these installed on the front of mine 2 weeks ago.
They replaced a OLD set of steer tires (a yokohoma + michelin)
I also replaced the front shocks and it drives better for sure.

I'm sorry, I will never drive any car, bus, truck or bike with Firestone tires. I had a good friend killed because of Firestone. 28 years ago, when they came out with steel belted tires, all four tires, the tread seperated. Firestone said can't help ya, want to buy new tires. I said yes I do, so I bought Goodyear.

I don't believe there's much difference in tires anymore, except for price and paying for a name, especially since the Firestone scandal and still not sure who was at fault with that one.
I'm definitely going for price, next time around and don't care where it comes from after a little research and customer reviews.
This thing about I'm sticking with brand x because I've been using them for 25yrs just doesn't cut it. The same goes for not using brand x, because there was a problem 25yrs ago. What, you don't think it's been corrected in all this time with the lawsuits, government and everybody else on the manufacture's back?
Firestone and Bridgestone (one of the better for reputation) are the same company nowadays, as far as I know.

We had Michelins on our last coach and when it came time to change I went with Firestone. Didn't see any difference in ride and they wore real well. Hope this helps.

I'm running GY's at present myself, but there's someone on another forum that says he wouldn't drive on them if they were for free, whaddaya think?

another 95 miles today....drove fantastic.....this trip was in pouring rain both directions....stable, no hydroplaning, able to drive with 1 hand on the wheel and sit back relaxed and was a combo of city and hiway

Bought a used rig with 14K miles, had new GreenBall Tires. checked with local tire store about them, he said lots of tires are made in china, go for it. put 5000 miles on them now one just had blowout. Makes you think. Firestone has been recommended by local Chevy dealer who runs them on his fleet. Firestone Transforce LT22575r16 E Around 200 bucks each.

Keep in mind that every brand is susceptible to blow out and it's seldom because of a particular brand of tire. The main thing is to have IMO, at least 10-15psi extra in each tire according to the vehicle's weight on that particular wheel and naturally, don't be running over any kind of a road hazards including sharp concrete pads in some campgrounds. Just sayin..........
