First longer trip. Lovin’ the coach!

For the holiday weekend we travelled 150 miles or so for a long weekend. There was a lot of highway involved but also a lot of severe hills and windy roads. Thanks to this group I let the engine do its thing and didn’t wear out the brakes. I gotta say I’m definitely loving our GT5.

I well remember our first trip in a 1968 32' Southwind in 1974. We drove 750 miles to Branson towing a small fishing boat. We took the long way home through northern Arkansas and up through IL to central WI. We were then hooked on the RV experience and began a new phase of our life. You will remember your first trip forever and will have many more memories to add to it. Congrats.

There is never more fun than the first trip. Ours was Fl. to SD. with no plan, no campground reservations and no real route. That was our best trip ever. We usually leave home with just a destination in mind but we'll never be able to redo all the fun of that first trip.
