Max49...why are they hating on Thor? Still in business, when so many so called high end coach companies are out of business. My bought new 03 Thor Hurricane P30 workhorse has never been in any repair facility for ANY repairs. 28,000 miles and now 11 yrs old. My rig fires right up and goes where ever I point it. I change my own fluids, because I can and I don't abuse the power train. 10 yr old tires replaced and ready to travel. Luvin my Thor that cost about what the down payment is on a quad slide, full paint rig ....All you Thor hatters give it a rest.

I think I figured out why. I think they pull into a camground after they got their 3 times more expensive MH out of the repair shop, and they find they can't get a campsite because they are all taken by the " class beneath them" in Thor campers.
I don't blame em, sometimes I wish they were always camping at their manufaturers service dept parking lots too.

Don't ask why, but we have two MH's. One is a 2002 Fleetwood Bounder(Chevy Chassis) and the other is a 2005 Thor Windsport(Ford Chassis). The Thor got my vote . Some minor stuff like cupboard latches are cheap, but you can change them out . Just like other manufacture they make the lower class models and the supreme models like the Infinity. Thor does make good MH's, but it depends on how much $$$ you want to spend.

The Thor ACE was the model that really made me want a motorhome. Researched and looked at many motorhomes. Having a max budget of 90K. I ended up with a 04Allegro Bus. Perfect NO like it you bet.

StopTheHating.com

This is sort of off topic from the thread but....In defense of RV'ers with deep pockets...I have known more than a few and liked most. My pockets are surely not deep because what goes in flows freely out to pay for all the good times I have enjoyed. My neighbor here in winter camp has a very nice 2002 Monaco Admiral. He and his wife are 20yr full timers and 77 yrs young. Both retired medical professionals. He is a Dr of psychiatry and we were talking the other day about the fact that RVers come from all walks of life. He stuck his nose in the air and said " When your nose is in the air you can't see all the nice people smiling at you". I replied " People with their nose in the air, cant see you peeing on their feet". I thought he was going to spit his teeth out.... StopTheHating.com
