Flags

Is it proper etiquette to fly my Texas flag on my motorhome flag pole when I am in another state? I know the proper etiquette for flying the state flag with a American flag. I just want to fly the Texas flag alone.

I thought Texas wants to secede from the Union. So wouldn't that be a foreign flag in any other state?

Fly your flag and fly it proudly.

Yes we do want to secede, however until we do I like to travel and my excuse sometimes is to make sales calls. Thanks for your response!

It may be in the eye of the beholder. I personally have no problem with someone flying "their" state flag. Most people are proud of their state and those that display a flag are showing how proud they are.

But, that's me.

I don't always set up, but once in a while I'll set up the US Flag, and the Marine Corps flag. I do not disrespect the other branches of the service that display their service flags.

I have a tiny little Australian Flag I "fly" on the dash.
I haven't had a single comment about it
Maybe it's just too small
I'm thinking I need a bigger flag
Next purchase!!!

We fly 3 flags in one of those single 3 flag holders. The US flag in the center, the FL or GA flag on one side and the current state we are in on the other side. If we are in GA or FL we fly both with the US flag (we have property in both states).

We use the flags we see flying around the campground as conversation starters. Beside the various states we have had nice conversations with people flying flags from Canada, Norway, and the UK.

We fly the Stars and Stripes on one flag pole, and a ham radio antenna on another.

Sounds fine to me.
I'm from the state of confusion and can't find a flag for it, otherwise I'd be flying it!

For what it is worth I needed a flag pole to set up an external wifi wireless access point. Harbor Freight had an aluminum pole with a 3 x 5 flag. The pole is 5 sections and telescopes out from about 4 feet to 20 feet. I have not had a chance to use it yet but from the testing I have done with it so far it appears to lock pretty tight when telescoped out. The pole and flag is about 50.00 I bought it on sale and it was 46.99 that is the best price I have seen for a portable flag pole. It has the clips to fly two flags.
