Flat Floor Slide

Who makes flat floor slides?

Newell does. Did I read that Newmar does as well? Who else?

Newmar is credited with building the first flat floor slides. They built their own systems. Now they are using the HWH system like we have but only seems to be in some of their higher end rigs.

Our CC has one flat floor slide but it's an HWH hydraulic unit and CC went out of business about 2010 although now it's owned by Winnebago.

My Winnebago's lounge slide is a flat floor when the slide is out. It rides on a ramp and is above the floor when retracted. The other 2 slides go straight out/in. All 3 slides are on Power Gear assemblies.

How flat is flat? My 2006 Windsport has a flat slide but it is still about 1/2 inch bump where the slide meets the floor.

Just about all brands for the last dozen years have at least one flat floor slide in the lounge area. HWH, Power Gear and LCI all make flat-floor type slide mechanisms and most RV makers use one or the other.
