Fleetwood Discovery 40G

My husband and I are trying to decide between a Fleetwood Discovery 40G and an Exoedition 38B. We are weighing the pros and cons of each. Does anyone have an idea of what the dry weight versus fully load weight is on the 40G?

You can find the specs for Fleetwood models (including 2018 models as well as prior year models) in their brochure archives located here (scroll down and select the model/model year):

I have a 2017 40D, won't be much different. Out the factory door was 31,043 lbs., loaded include fuel & water was 33,340, then add 500 lb. for 2 people and food should get you close.

If the budget allows, Discovery is a far better choice. We looked at both too.

When we bought our 15 Discovery I said to myself after having 11 Bounder. There wasn't enough difference between the Bounder and a 1 step lower than Discovery to warrant spending 10 of thousands on the Expedition. The Discovery was a no brainer. Few thousand more was worth it.

Here is the CAT scale weights of a Fleetwood Discovery 40D LXE. We were loaded for a 3 week trip and all tanks 1/3 full with full tank of diesel.

2017 Discovery LXE 40D

Yellow Payload sticker says 5578 pounds so the dry weight is around 30882 (36400-5578=30882).

FAWR weight 11,260 rating 12,400 = +1140
RAWR weight 21,580 rating 24,000 = +2420
GVWR weight 32,840 rating 36,400 = +3,560
GCWR weight 36,860 rating 46,400 = +7540
Toad Weight 4020 Tow Rating 10,000 = +5980
Coach Hitch weight ???? Rating = 1000

2013 Honda CRV curb weight 3200 - Scale Weight 4020 GVWR 4464 with 303 pound Cricket Golf Cart Loaded.

We sold the CRV and haven't weighted with the Jeep yet.
