Fleetwood Discovery Door Awning

I have a 2009 Fleetwood Discovery 40X, and my Dometic Oasis Elite 5ft. electric door awning (Part #557756) needs to be replaced. I have priced a new one through Fleetwood for $1300, but I am curious if there is a complany I can get this cheaper through. Any suggestions?

Wow,
$1,300 bucks, whew, that's a ton. I've done some research on ebay for door awnings and, you might be able to find a new one on there for around, oh, about $500-$600 or so. Just curious, what's wrong with yours that, the entire awning, not just a couple of parts, needs to be replaced?

We had a few parts which worn out on the 2009 door awning. Our local RV shop tried for a week to locate the parts from the manufacturer as well potentially have a shop fabricate. After a week Dometic sent an entirely new awning for free!

If you need parts , like the keyed shaft with the molded white gear, It can be purchased from Fiamma Inc in Orlando. I believe the Dometic Oasis awning is a re labeled Fiamma.

One side snagged coming out, and I wasn't paying attention. The whole right side broke apart; and now I can hear the motor, but the awning is in a bind and doesnt move. You guys are probably right, I should try to take it apart and try to replace just the broken parts. Thanks!
