Fleetwood has decent reliability, most people don't separate chassis problems, individual componet failures from build problems. I have had the most issues from my Freightliner chassis personally and that is used on many brands. Fleetwood has been good about correcting it and making it right in my case, they stood behind it and fixed it. That's all I can ask.

I will say that I believe hands down Newmar, Tiffin and Winnebago pay closer attention to detail and do a better job on what you don't see walking through the coach. But also that Goodyear tires, generators, slide controllers, motors, A/C's, transfer switches, ect. are just out sourced and common among many brands.

But I will ask this, if your generator does not start, if there is a pull in the chassis, if there is vibration going down the road, if the slide fails to operate due to a bad motor or controller, if the water heater, transfer switch fails does that fall on the people who built the box? Not in my mind, it is because most things are less reliable because they can be built cheaply to compete. Basically they all break at some point.

I've owned two Winnebago's and now the Fleetwood Southwind. They all have their peculiar quirks. Have had the Southwind for 2 years and 17000 miles. So far it's been a great rig. I'd rank Fleetwood right even with Winnebago. FW does better on some things and Winne on others. Pick your poison. So far Fleetwood customer service has been great.
I'd buy another FW in a heartbeat. Good bang for the buck.
