We did buy a 2014 Thor ACE. It isn't perfect, but we are enjoying our time on the road. We even got 10 MPG. We will likely keep it for many years.
Thank you to those of you who offered constructive help.
Congrats on your ACE purchase. Well done on making your decision on whats right for you

Thor ACE

My husband and I purchased an ACE 29.2 in April. So far so good as we work through the bugs and do some things to make it more suitable for us. A question for you--we are hearing a knocking/banging sound right behind the driver's seat--it sounds like something is in the slide and can be annoying to the driver for sure. Have you happened to hear this in your unit? Thanks.

May want to read this ACE Generator Stops running - CODE 36

Generator was getting too hot, I was following it out just curiuosity, not sure it was resolved in the older units. They moved the generator in the new ones last I read.
If the gen is up front near the driver beware.

The banging noise is your roll out slide cover, its a problem that all ACE's have. You need to spend time in the Thor forums learning about your coach, this issue has been discussed a lot.

Good Luck!

We found that with a high tailwind, the cover on the slide will flap and make a terrible racket. We had another annoying clatter in the bedroom when on the road. The dealer tech told us to put in the slide lock and make sure it is in tight. That took care of that problem. Just suggestions.....
