We are looking to purchase our first RV. I believe we are down to two. I would like to get some feedback. We are torn between the Fleetwood Terra 35k and the Winnebago Vista 35f. The floor plans are very similar. I'm trying to figure out which one is likely to last longer with fewer problems. I realize problems are inevitable in either. However being a first timer I could use some input from more experienced Rv's. We are planning on being on the road 3 to 6 months at a time.

They are both likely to burst into flames as soon as they reach the ten year mark. Most turn to dust at 15 years. They are both decent coaches and should last as long as the owners willingness to take care of them.

These two are on my list also plus the Coachman Mirada 35DL which has the same floor plan also.

Of the two you are asking about the Terra has 40" TV and is about 11" longer. The Vista has about 27 CF more of exterior storage and it comes with a 32" TV.

The Vista also has two black tanks for a total of 62 gallons where the Terra has a 37 gallon black tank. Vista also has bigger grey and fresh water tanks.

Which one has the best storage. When out for that long you will want to take extra "stuff"

First, or you buying new or used? Makes some difference. Winnebago is known for its quality of build and excellent factory support. Since 2005, or so, Fleetwood has improved its quality control and is producing much better coaches. That is, of course, only my opinion based on reading these forums.

Most would tell you to choose the floorplan and amenities that best suit your needs/wants. Good advice. All else being considered, I would go for the Winnebago based on their reputation.

I looked at the Winnebago 35F and did NOT like the bath and a half floorplan (I think that is the 35F). You lose LOTS of storage space for an extra toilet. Unless you travel with more than you and your spouse, why do you need that?

Again, only my opinion.
