If it rolls on tires and is made by the hand of man, it'll have problems. All brands do because as far as I know the Almighty hasn't gone into the MH manufacturing business.

As for why the topic started hasn't considered a specific brand, what difference does it make? He has obviously narrowed down his choices and wants either a Fleetwood or Winnebago. Maybe (like me) he has looked at other brands and didn't like them, or perhaps he has heard bad things about them like those said about Fleetwoods and Winnebagos. In any case it's irrelevent because it is, after all, his choice.

My first big RV was a Fleetwood and I had great service. Like a fool I believed all the "Brand X" cheerleaders and changed brands when I bought my first MH. After reaching my tolerance limit for problems with that coach I unloaded it and went back to Fleetwood.

And there I will stay.

I agree with Catdave--there are going to be problems(minor) with just about any MH--for me the issue is --How does the manufacturer stand behinf the product. Our first MH was a 2001 Winnebago Adventure and we loved it --had ONE problem in the begining with electrical harness and it was taking care of under warranty- we had a second problem after the warrant was up (with awning) and Winnebago took care of it under "customer service" We just purchased a 2005 Monaco Knight because of the floor plan--I really wanted another Winnebago but they diod not have the floor plan. So far so good with this one (except for the damage I did with a tree!)
