Progressive. They paid us and no hoops. Guy comes out right away and is very helpful. Friend owns tractor trailer repair shop and is very happy when a repair job involving insurance is via Progressive--because they pay and no b.s.

Lifetime member of AAA and they actually sold me a Progressive policy. So far I'm happy with them.

Get a quote from AARP package through The Hartford was much better price than State Farm or Progressive I have had all three in Miami Dade county.

Same experience with Progressive when our automatic transfer switch burned up and took out many appliances with it.

I have been with USAA forever--great company and service, but they don't due FT Rv. After many quotes and much research, I got a policy with Allied Insurance from Farm and City Insurance Co, Forest City Iowa (I learned this agency specializes in RV insurance). The people (agents) were very nice to deal with. I haven't had a claim (and I hope I never do) so I can't give a qualified answer on that. But the premiums were most competitive.

There are no simple answers on insurance.
You need to comparison shop the reputable companies. Price depends on your driving record, location class, and each level of coverage.
I am in Rural Route Class 1. It is the lowest location cost in PA. If I lived in Philladelpia the over-all rate would triple.
Each insurer has rates that vary by state, or even by county.
Make sure the quotes are one-on-one for all coverage levels. Some like to provide lower pricing via lower coverage.
So, no simple answers. You must shop. Brokers may help.
Best of luck!

Gilbert is an agency (broker), not an insurer. They should be able to find you another insurer if you are unhappy with the one you have. Are try Miller RV Insurance agency instead.
We live in Florida and use National Interstate, with Explorerrv.com as our agency. Have been quite satisfied with both premiums and claims experience.
There is no one answer for lowest cost insurance - too many variations with personal situations. Each company rates and evaluates differently, so location and personal factors often make a huge difference in premiums.

Another thing to consider is whether or not your are full time. I don't know all the ins and outs of insurance but I know it makes a difference. Our first coach was insured by Progressive. However when whe purchased our current coach and said we were going to go full time the Progressive premium went very high. We switched to National Interstate with full coverage including contents.
As mentioned before you just need to shop around. Most independent brokers can do that for you.

One other thing about Florida when it comes to vehicle insurance... it is among the highest rates n the nation. I go between So FL, WY and the suburbs of Chicago over the past 5 years with my employment. I change the zip code on where my car is with USAA since I actually change domiciles. FL is the most expensive by a couple hundred dollars over the other two.

I've tried them a couple times and gotten nowhere with them. In fact last time they even called me and asked how much I was paying. Well, gee, that's what I called you for was to get a quote so I could see if you were competitive. Never did get a quote out of them.
After we get the Magna set up I'll start searching for another policy since the only reason I stayed with Good Sam (National General) was to keep the invoice cost insurance. The Magna is too old to get that anyway.
