FMCA Continental Tire Program

Does anyone have experience with the FMCA Continental tire program? I'm looking at the Continental Coach HA3 model tire. I'd also like to increase the front tires from 295 to the 315 size.

The 315/80R22.5 Continental Coach HA3 is $544 vs the Michelin XZA2 Energy is $702.

I've had a bad experience with the Goodyear, but great service from Toyo and Michelin.
Anyone have bad experiences with Continentals?

I have a friend that installed the Contis and so far he has about 3,000 on them with no complaints. He replaced a set of Michelins.

I am looking at Toyo and the Conti to replace some Michelins also.

That's quite a price increase on the Michelin 315/50 over what I paid late last year for 4 of them in my drive axle. Don't find my notes right now but they were around $530 each incl. fed tax but no mounting, balancing, etc.

I also saw BF Goodrich and General tires in the FMCA listings.

Mr D, that's a pretty big price increase!

Old Scout, yes, you can install the 315 tire on the OEM wheel. But, if you want to increase the load carrying capacity, you need the wider wheel.

The Continental tires are back ordered. May be forced to go wth the Michelin.

Have not checked to see if they're available in your desired size. I've had good service now going coming up on 2 1/2 years with two (Replacement tires, for two out of our 8 that were damaged by potholes, during a Michelin tire shortage.) BG Goodrich ST230's.

If they fit your desired size and rim, worth checking into...

Best of luck on your final shoes,
Smitty

I have year old Michelin ZXA2 and paid $4,000 for 6 including mounting balance all 6 and tax. So that seems to be in line with the continental.

I purchased Continental's off the FMCA program about a month ago. Only replaced my steers with 315 HA3s. Not many miles on them yet but so far they seem fine
