FMCA-Michelin Advantage price increase
Just got wind that Michelin announced an average 5% price increase on Dec 1 for tires bought through the FMCA program. It is posted on the FMCA website. Guess we were using the program a little more than they expected, huh?

I read that the "Michelin" tire program also includes certain other brands of tires, too.

The program is Michelin's Fleet discount program - it's not specific to FMCA. Their price increase was across their entire Fleet program and not specific to FMCA so it's unlikely it was due to us using the program!

I believe they recently added Uniroyal and Firestone to the offerings, and extended the Michelin offerings to their 16" LT tires and passenger car tires as well.

Firestone is a Bridgestone company.

Keep in mind; FMCA website says to check around, because some Michelin dealers are selling tires for less than the FMCA program pricing.

You say a 5% increase within the discount program
SO.. if you are paying straight up, without discounts, did those prices change as well? (I'd bet they did since it appears the cost to consumers of nearly everything is soon to increase again (NOTE: this statement can be said often, Prices generally go up)

Nobody likes a price increase. The price through the FMCA program has remained the same for over 2 years. Regardless of the price charged, if the FMCA program is the best game in town, then the price is just part of the cost of having a motor coach. In the two geographies I buy tires, the FMCA program has the best price.
