In this day and age, everyone wants something for nothing, or some value more than they paid. This may sound hokie…..but I believe that FMCA is out their fighting for the rights of RVers and makes RVing better. I'm willing to pay a few dollars a year to keep them going and fighting for the RVing life style. I don't use any of their products, but I do read the magazine and have attended a couple of rallies. I've been a member for 14 years.

I just joined because of the supposed “discounts”, yet tires I did better locally, and started getting emails from regional “chapters “ that immediately started asking for money. So as I learn why, I am not impressed with the stuff so promising something I can get off Amazon is not keeping up too much. They seem to be a profit center like GS, and I do not like that guy enough to give him money.

I don't disagree that FMCA does lobby at the federal and state levels in support of RVing, but why it takes an organization with an >$8 million budget to do this is something I don't understand. I suspect that FMCA has built an enterprise that now exists primarily to keep itself "fed."

i ,for one, am glad they now allow trailer owners to become members. where will new members come from if not them?
if you have ever attended a good sam rally, you will see this has worked out quite well.

I was an FMCA member for 15 or more years. Used to read the magazine from cover to cover. Over time, my motorhome became more of just a place to stay in Florida in the winter than an expensive hobby. Eventually realized that the mag was boring, the seminars beyond useless and I'd joined Good Sam's roadside assistance program. My only interaction with them was to pay my membership when it came due. I finally let it expire and haven't missed it.

The benefit ,We liked and used 100% of the time was The Mail Forwarding but someone decided to just end it and they did
We have another year left on the last 5 yr renewal,we had....
Really at a tough decision on what we'll do
IMO ,FMCA is run at and for the people in Office....sort of a EGO type thing......C
I just received an email from FMCA telling me about their mail forwarding

Not sure on the cost. I'm not using it.

The first 2 rallys we attended were GS rallies, Daytona and Atlanta. Although i am now not a fan of CW they sure did put on a good rally. Wish they still had em. I joined FMCA during the Atlanta rally in think in 2013.

We attended our first FMCA rally last year in Perry Ga. and was very dissapointed. The entertainment was so lacking on both nights that that we left after 1/2hr. I've seen enough vendors and seminars so won't be going again.

Sorry i got off topic.
