The closest I know of is Suncoast Design in Hudson, FL. Excellent place. If you can remove the windows you could ship them but that may be almost as expensive as just driving there.

I don't have experience with them....

But others spoke of Complete RV in Denver, N.C. that does that work. Might be closer than Florida.

We personally had three windows done by Complete RV in Denver NC. The service was very good and the price was exceptional! Give them a call, very honest folks, ask for either Maria Dunn or Kevin Dunn. Tell them Clay and Pebble recommended them. We had our first coach a 2003 Excursion serviced and remodeled with them. They do not do chassis service.

We have an appointment at Suncoast in Hudson, Fl for fogged window repair but these folks in NC are much closer to me. Can you give me an idea how much they charged for the work? Do they have a place with hook ups so you can stay in your coach while the work is done?

only way is to replace as the vacuum seal is gone and there is always a chance for them to re-leak. for the same money grt new ones and forget about the worry of having to do it all over again.

I've been told it depends on how long the gas has leaked out. Because the longer is out its like the glass etches itself. I would recommend replacing it, that's what I did. You could replace all your Windows in one as where the person had his repaired in three days for a couple of them. You could do itself or have someone do it for you. There is do it yourself videos on YOUTUBE.

Personaly I would not recommend Suncoast. Had for frameless windows repaired and they charge $375 each. There is no gas between the glasses, just standard dried air. Was not to impressed by seal around windows they did, not to say a very primitive job...For the 4 frameless windows I was on premises on Sunday and able to take off only the friday afternoon. Nothing to do in the area.

I have been to Suncoast twice, and in my opinion, they do excellent work. Their employees are friendly and considerate. Price was $225/window and carry a 10 year warranty.

I would love to offer an individual cost per window but it was several years ago and we had a lot of work done over a month period. There are many variables involved as the glass being etched etc. however the glass on the outside or inside or both are removed depending on needs. We had two large and one small bedroom window done. So cost is variable which is good you don't want to spend $375.00 on a 8X12 window! Yes they have one spot with 30 amp and sewer another with power only. Kevin and Maria will work with you but there business is busy so an appointment must be made. We left our coach for two weeks, lots of stuff, and returned to pick it up. On another occasion we stayed for three days. I suggest you call Kevin with your needs he will help. They are a family owned business, son works there also and Kevin has been in this line of work for close to forty years. They are both such fine folks we visited with them on our way back from Vermont this past summer.

Fog doctor is in searcy which is not too far from memphis would not be a bad drive from birmingham. Make sure you call for an appointment. Last time I was in the area camping I stopped over to see them and could not get in because they were booked solid for a couple of weeks and I had a trip to make before that.

Revert back to a single pane????

Just a thought. have read several forums and seen uyube demos on resealing the double pane windows. A fair amount of folks complained that the fog reappeared after a few years. So why not just have the inner pane cut out?? Yes they would tend to fog up in the fall and spring but in the summer should be OK or in Florida over the winter.
Any thoughts? has anyone tried this?
ps. there are lots of RV's out there with single pane windows as originally made.
pps. One would have to expect that double pane windows sure would be mighty prone to fogging with all the swisting that they endure going down the road.

Phone around to glass shops that do thermal pane windows. I was told there was no one in Calgary that did it by both an independent repair guy and a dealer, then I found a firm that did it on occasion. They did a decent job and it cost me quite a bit less than a new window.

I also took the door off and took it to them so they could pull the window because I wanted to get the vinyl inside skin re-stretched and glued because it had pulled back and wrinkled.

Taking the door off was a pain but saved a bundle.
