Folding computer desk for passenger side dash

Has anyone had experience installing a folding laptop desk on the passenger side of a class A near the dash? Thanks

I have seen one before that was pretty nice. Unfortunately, I don't remember if it was on this forum or another.

I'm pretty sure that it was on a gasser, so I don't think there was an issue with ingress/egress.

I hope this is what you were looking for. I am having the interior reupholstered so I have clean and clear space to work on this.

The door is just aft of the passenger seat. I want to install something between the passenger seat and the dash that will easily fold down out of the way. The dash is too far from the seat for comfortable use of a laptop even with the seat pushed all the way forward. Thanks

Our DP has a slide out drawer with a writing surface that flips up to access the storage in the drawer. Depending on what is under the dash, you might be able to install a similar drawer that is great for pencils, pens, ins policies, travel documents, credit cards, campground info, etc.

Look at laptop stands for semi trucks. Had one that mounted to floor and was adjustable and easily moved out of the way to get into the bunk between the seats. Ebay is a good place to start looking but there are truck specific sites that carry them.

I just installed pullout desk for DW. Plus she wanted hand rails for entry. Now all of my interior is removed for reupholstered. So made install easier. Click image for larger version

Looks nice. Did you design a forward break-away system in case of a crash?

Nice job. Looks like marine stainless parts on the handrail. I made some custom rails for my boat years ago. All those modular parts make it fun.

The table cushions and couch is done. They have the capt chairs and barrel chair yet to do. In a different pattern and color kind of southwest theme still.
