Foremost Insurance
We had Foremost for many years for our TT and had a major claim when the 2013 Ice Storm hit us in NE. They did a great job paid for everything with no questions asked. We moved to a MH last year and to Liberty Mutual/Safeco since I have everything with LM. No claims and no issues yet. Heard other insurance could be cheaper maybe better but I'll stay fast until I find out differently with Safeco.

I had a great experience with Foremost Ins. Was parked way out of the way in a parking lot with tons of room and a Semi Tractor Trailer pulls in near me. As he's leaving and backing up, he backs into the rear portion of my Winnebago Journey DP and bangs into it causing me to have to have an entire new lower cap replaced. He never stopped, just pulled on out and left. I immediately called the police dept but by the time they got there he was long gone. Contacted Foremost Ins. and They told me of a Winnebago Dealer I could take it to or have it towed to. I opted to use a lot of Gorilla Tape to hold it all together. The next say I drove to the dealership, the parts were ordered. When they got the parts in the dealership needed a little less the a week to do the repairs. Excellent service from Foremost Ins. including covering the hotel bill while I needed to be out of the motorhome!

I know this is an older thread, but I just got slammed with a 35% increase on my Foremost policy with zero claims. I was told by my Farmers agent that it is a nation-wide jump. I was just wondering if anybody else is experiencing this.

Mine was $898 last year and will be $884 first of January. It's been hovering around there for several years. I have agreed-value coverage, insured in north Florida.

Yes I can verify this. Not limited to but especially for FTers, rates went up nationwide. We renewed our policy in July of 2019 and had to switch carriers because of outlandish increased premiums with our current carrier. Our rep told us that across the board—nation wide—all RV insurance carriers have raised their premiums on average of 30%-35% because of all the fires, floods, tornado's this past spring and other assorted damage claims. The highest increases were especially felt by policy owners of Dp's because of the high cost to fix or replace those type of RV's.
Many RV insurance carriers are still trying to figure out how to operate in this space.

My Allied insurance renewal in May was going to be a 30% increase over last year. I checked several companies including Foremost who we had been with 10 years ago. They were double my last year rate with Allied. I went with Geico which was less than half of my Allied renewal rate. Nine days later, I had a windshield claim for three times the premium and they paid quickly. Their six month renewal rate did not change.
There was a time when you could stay with the same ins company with small to no increase in annual premiums. That time is over. I check every year and am forced to go through company switching because of the premium game most of them play.

I will keep shopping, but so far National General was +$800 over the new Foremost rate for the same coverage.

Yep they increased our policy like $1100 when we went to renew this past July for the reasons I explained above. We ended up switching to Nationwide to get a reasonable FTers rate.

Yes, I've been fulltime since 2010, and it's a fulltimer policy. 1993 HR DP with agreed value policy, not NADA or whatever. Of course that agreed value is far less than the value of your Winnie
