Forest River Charleston or Entegra Aspire

We are consider a new coach. We have narrowed the choices down to:

2014 Forest River Charleston 430FK - selling at about $230,000

2014 Entegra Aspire 42DEQ - selling at about $260,000

Both coaches have the layout we want. Both are tag axles which we want. I'm going to prepare a side by side feature comparison before we go look at and drive each of them, but do you have any defining opinions about either coach?

Thanks,

Chuck

I own neither, but I would go for Entegra!
Good luck!

The Entegra is going to be a lot nicer coach. Those Charlestons are typically more like 200K at the end of the model year.

I would also consider a Fleetwood Providence in that price range.

I will look at the Fleetwood. The floorplan of the 42P is to our liking. I'll have to find one to check out in person.

Looked at both at Tampa Supershow as brother-in-law is shopping. Charleston if you can get them about 30-40k lower..otherwise Entegra Aspire and its 2 year warrantee.

The entegra will have aquahot and most have heated floors and multiplex lighting. Those are some big upgrades over the charleston. For $270k you could also get into an american coach revolution.

Best place to check out all of the above is south of Dallas. You have Ancira with fleetwood and american coach about a half mile from motorhome specialists that have forest river and entegra. In one day you could look at many examples of each brand. That is what I did before buying my '14 Revolution last year. The entegra was nice, but the revolution floorplan won.

We plan to go to Motorhome Specialist in a couple weeks. We'll check out Ancira too. I've read some iffy stuff about Ancira, but will be able to see the Fleetwoods.

I don't care for Forest River. They , in my opinion, are more of an entry level coach.

I've been In the same place asking the same questions. Entegra all the way. I've also seen some AC revolutions in that range. I'd only consider the charleston for the bunk model (which I need) but you are looking at the non-bunk.

Entegra 100%

Thanks All! Weekend after next we'll go to Alverado to have a look. I'll leave my checkbook at home so it is truly looking and not buying. I'm not rushing into the next coach. I'm also going to do a better job with the PDI. Once bitten/twice shy.

We went to MHSRV and Ancira. I liked MHSRV better but I didn't buy anything

As others mentioned, there's a pretty significant difference between the Forest River and Entegra (think Hyundai vs Lexus). Not saying that the Charleston is not a good coach and might give you a lot for your money but it's comparing apples and oranges.
