You do it Rooster54, and let us know. As I said earlier a Palazzo was not at all on my radar. I'll be curious to see if your reaction was the same as mine?

I also have been at some of the dealers looking at the 2016 Palazzo, the quality furniture, cabinet, and other details were not that all bad as those earlier models. I think that they may improve over the year provided the Palazzo first model was 2012. I am excited about the 2017 model with more improvement to come. I think that Thor has stepped up their game a little. One other thing is the Palazzo has the lower gravity chassis than some other MH at the same price point. That may help quite a bit with the ride as well. Too bad that I have not owned one yet to tell the fact, but from my research, it seems to be the one that may stay on my pick list for a little longer.

Also, I just look at the closest competitor is the Allegro Breeze, it close enough to be considered as it has the similar floor plan as the Palazzo 33.4, but it MSRP cost $20,000 higher than the Palazzo and yet, it has fewer amenities than the Palazzo. For that much different, would it justify that cost to buy a Tiffin provided many people have the higher respect for the Tiffin brand?

The important question to the Palazzo owners is if you would do it all over again, knowing what you know now, would you pick the Palazzo again at this price point provide that Palazzo has been growing over the year since 2012?
isn't the plazzo and the fleetwood excursion on the same chassis..???

when I looked at the 2013's the plazzo didn't compare.... but now looking at the 2016's I think it reversed...or at least equal...

I thoght the 2014 excursion at 127k new was a good bargin for the price

Their video talks about changes for 2017...some cosmetics and electronics (USB ports, pop-up TV). Looks like only minor changes.

Thanks Scarab, I asked Thor what the changes are and heard from them in less than a half hour. Impressive, especially for a Monday morning! Here is what they sent me.

2017 Changes
 Railing added to 33.4 at entry
 Replaced barrel key latches on hood w/ hidden cable latch
 New “Medium Color” Glazed Pacific Cherry Cabinetry
 Drawer in rear facing dinette booth
 Larger sink in the bathrooms
 Lock on the 36.1 rear, sliding, linen closet
 USB charging station in each nightstand
 Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink and New Tile Backsplash
 Replace Encore & Mountain Sands décor
 New BeauFlor Vinyl Flooring
 MaxxAir Vent Covers throughout

It looks mostly cosmetic.

The DW like the new change especially the new stainless steel kitchen sink and tile backsplash, the new flooring color which makes the coach brighter.

One of the thing that more interest to me in on the 33.4 is the 3TRAX slide system which in the brochure checked as "Yes" which is I think it is a misprint, but it would be nice if they all went to the 3Trax. I just email Mitch Johnson to confirm, I am sure that he will say "misprint", but oh well, not hurt to hope.

Hi KC, I've seen $145 at Motorhome Specialists in Texas. Last I looked they had 3 of them.

Oops sorry, that's for a 36.1.

Hey what's a 36.2?

Not a Palazzo owner, but do own a Thor. I would buy Thor again. The company treated me fair and the issues I had were mostly minor. one bigger thing was moving my genset to a different bay in my rig and it's been flawless ever since. Thor paid every penny for the move and my rig was 2yrs old. They agreed it was a TSB and covered it all. I think most of the Thor bashing comes from non Thor owners.

Thor does have good customer service and stands behind their products.
The one thing that bugs me the most about the Palazzo are the less than stellar cargo bays. Most coaches out there are not designed this way. They have been problematic for me with leaks and build quality. Minor detail?? Maybe....

I think I remember Palazzo 36.1 owners with the 340HP saying they were getting 10 MPG. Is that right?
